Plusnet, BBC Watchdog

I have e-mailed BBC Watchdog about the poor Plusnet E-mail service. If any of you have 5mins to spare just E-Mail BBC Watchdog and explain your trouble with Plusnet its very easy. Hopefully if there is enough of us Plusnet may be on Watchdog next week.

What email service???? I now have over 100 emails in my inbox with no access at all for the last 3 days and I mean 'none'. Just 'server error' or Service Unobtainable, Please Try Later messages. It has been poor for about three months now. The chat line people just refer you to the status page. I don't think there is anyone left at PlusNet with the technical knowledge to sort this one.

Does that still work, i'm betting as soon as the traffic dies down on the webmail server ie peeps go to bed i will open all my emails of the day at around 2.30am as i have done the past 3 days! PN?

Anyone used the PN hotline with anyworthy reply i wont use my phone line in case i get blamed for overloading the junction box

i wasn't talking about clients.

i was saying that it's insane to use an email service that is provided by an ISP.

Interesting regarding the discussion about ISP e mails and the use of clients.

I use G mail as a client on tablet's and phones and Outlook on my PC but I can only configure Outlook for one service at a time and I use that for my work e mail address, therefore if I want to read my PN e mails on my PC I have to use Webmail, unless anyone has a better suggestion

NOPE a service is what PN supposed to supply ,, a client is a external Email program on my PC

yes and the point i was making had nothing to do with CLIENTS.
the point i was making was that it is insane to use a mail service from an ISP.

Well done, the more the better. I think the general service we get from Plusnet is very poor. The wait times for tech support is far too long. How impaired people manage I don't know.

I don't believe that Outlook is limited to only one service @rrose614? I have used it successfully for multiple services using a mix of Exchange; pop3 and IMAP. Perhaps you could explain why you can only configure one service?
