Landline outage 0208 ... ...

My landline is out. unable to call Out or receive calls in.

Phone the plusnet helpline they said check facebook and twitter. Did so. No updates on either.

Further investigation on plusnet web site ......... Advised to check Status. Did so. plusnet page says that phone is working. I assure you that it is NOT!!!

Tried o login to plusnets Help and support page .........

The service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.

Internet 8 out of 10

Landline 0 out of 10 - MUST try harder or else will be put back a year or expelled!

i assume your phone and internet are using the same line?
if yes then your line is OK otherwise you wouldn't have internet.

is your phone connected to the master socket? it not, try that and see what happens.
do you get a dial tone?
what happens when someone calls your number?
what happens when you try to call out?

broadband can still work albeit slowly with one leg disconnected but the phone won't

it not, try that and see what happens.

NO ANSWER. NO RINGING MY END
what happens when you try to call out?

DIALS OUT THEN SILENCE. NO RINGING AT THE OTHER END

you will need to plug it in to the master socket, that is a crucial test that needs done.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems with your phone service. I've tested your line and I've detected a Dis in Network and raised this to Openreach. We've been given an estimated response time of by 12/10/16 23:59:59. I have also raised a ticket on your account with our faults team to monitor and check on the progress after the ERT.
