Or Plusnet haven't set up your account correctly. is an alternative option.

Have you checked your estimated line speeds at http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.Telephone?URL=&SP_NAME=a%20service%20provider&VERSION=42&MS=E&CAP=no&AEA=yes to see if your line is estimated to be able to handle 40Mbps plus speeds?

In a thread last week the indefatigable OldJim referred to the change from 40/20 to 55/10. Interestingly but, I suppose, unsurprisingly, whilst UL actual performance here has gone from over 13mb/s down to about 9mb/s, DL on my previously 40/20 remains obstinately the same at 37mb/s. Ho hum. Guess I'll live with it for a while.

that would suggest that your line isn't capable of anything higher, so having the package changed to 55/10 isn't going to miraculously improve your line capabilities.

Everything is set correctly on our side, however you might find that a single disconnect/reconnect helps you get a little more speed as you haven't had this happen since the changes took effect.

Chris, I have just done the disconnect/reconnect you suggested and am happy to report BT showing first DL up to 44.14 against a profile of 45.83 . Ookla says IPA has moved from 195.***.***.*** to 91.***.***.*** . This is at 7.30pm on a Saturday, so if it stays around that level I won't complain. Cheers.
