Just for the sake of balance I'll report on my experience of changing from Sky to Plusnet fibre on January 7th.
It was activated on schedule and the speed was marginally quicker than Sky from the moment the router was plugged in - no problems.

Thanks for making a positive posting.
I suspect the majority get such service - and onlt those with bad experience come here to complain.
I've moved 3 times and each time the move was handled well - and good customer service which is why I have stuck with PN.
I hear much worse experiences from friends on other ISP's
