I woke up this morning to an automated email from Plusnet that scared my half asleep self to hell a wee bit...

Now that your service has now been active for 14 days, we thought we'd let you know the speed as it stands today, by way of comparison.
Estimated line speed: 14Mbps
Current line speed: 78Mbps

I read the estimated line speed @ 14Mbps and got a tad worried that my line would be underperforming before noticing the current line speed below it and realising the "estimated" speed is probably an ADSL figure and not FTTC/VDSL...
Just letting you know the "estimated" figure in your auto emailer might be a bit off for FTTC customers
(My estimated line speed on the page linked in the email - https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed - actually does give an accurate 80Mb estimation)
