Any idea when assist will be compatible with Windows 8.1, previously ran XP.

Forget PlusNet assist, it is useless and probably more trouble than it is worth.

At the moment we don't have any plans to introduce Plusnet assist for windows 8.

Welcome to the forums. Some would say that the non support for Plus Assist on Win 8 is a blessing! For some it might be useful, for many it does not do what they want and for others it is a hinderance. Personally I have not had the need to use it.
Were you looking for particular assistance or were you looking at installing it just in case?
I think it would be fair to say that once you have your PN system set up, you would be unlikely to need to refer back to it if you had it installed.
