Thinkbroadband Query!

Can someone take a look at this query (the guy is asking for his elderly father & hence is probably not able to post on here).

Apparently the Father has a Metronet BB & a BT Phone - he is looking to transfer his phone in & get a PN Fibre!
Apparently PN have told him he needs a MAC!
Doesn't seem right to me!!

Wasn't the case with me when I transferred over from Metronet early last year.
Everything was handled as an internal migration including keeping my Metronet mail boxes.

I'm bumping this up, although I think oldjim may have tried to update the PN Staff directly!
The OP, on TBB-Forum, has now placed an (having confirmed that a MAC was not needed, as linn k has advised!). However, he has now received a subsequent text stating that the order cannot proceed unless he gets a MAC!
Something is clearly not right here!
