Apart from your router and Plusnet's service, the problem could be something in your house that is interfering with the broadband signal.

My internet connection drops for about 1-3 minutes every half hour or so, then comes back. It is very frustrating. It happened just now as I was trying to post this message.
This has only started happening in the past month or so - prior to that my service was stable for 2+ years.
I assumed it was my router, so have replaced the router, but find that it is still happening, so I assume it must be the service. As it happens I have also replaced my PC (for other reasons) in the past couple of weeks, and this also had no effect on the problem.
Any clues, anyone else suffering similar?

Try monitoring your connection with software that will write out router stats to a file.
I'm using Routerstats which telnet's to the router every 30 seconds... - but there is other software...
You may see some kind of pattern - it could always be your internal wiring

Hi,
Have you tried changing the filter and connecting the filter directly to the test socket behind the master faceplate?
