Is mybroadbandspeed broken or not?

For a while the message 'Sorry - My Broadband Speed is currently experiencing technical difficulty and may display misleading test results. Thanks for bearing with us while we fix things.' disappeared, but now it's back. It seems to work fine (it gives accurate results) so what's with the message?

That site has been giving me the MOST accurate speed test results for months now !

Still broken. The network the box is on isn't scaled for multiple Fibre speed tests.

It sometimes gives me the correct results, other times it is wildly out.

Plusnet, if you think it's broken, surely it would make sense to just take the site down altogether? Then when it comes back we can know for sure that it is fixed.

Well, in the space of an hour, it's gone from giving full speed results, to ... not so great results lol - Upload is consistently great though.

You're not on Fibre though, so it's less likely to affect you.

I've done 4 tests, 3 when I posted earlier, ond one a few minutes ago. All with expected results (not on fibre), but they aren't saving for me.

The results are stored in a cookie on your system, assuming you're accepting cookies, not using private browsing, etc.

I am accepting cookies, and if I go in to Page Info in Firefox Tools menu I can see the cookie is there.
However, it seems to be OK in IE10:

It also works in Chrome, I now have 3 logged results, but they still don't show in Firefox.

Given that both use the Ookla engine they should be the same.
I'm on 20CN - has anyone on faster connection done a comparison?
