Rob, if your exchange offers O2 LLU service (you can check that here), you might be better off moving to them - they offer 12 month contracts including hardware, for less money too. Plus, it seems, they're the one ISP out there that can consistently beat Plusnet for customer satisfaction.

hello,
I have been pondering whether to move to the unlimited offer.
I have asked a few questions with varying quality of reply.
The probelm I have is :- I have enjoyed being a customer on the monthly contract for nearly 2 years now.
I am not hapy about accepting a 12 month contract (but you won;t offer anythig else).
I was on the point of signing up, but asked about a new router, to be told - if you take that its an 18 month contract and 6.99 p&p for the router.
Well I feel insulted.
You are on the verge of driving me away! I am just checking the reviews for Post Office Broadband now.
what happened to looking after loyal customers?
sniff
rob

If you aren't especially happy about a 12 month contract, I'd forget about the Router and 18 months - there are a number of users not exactly impressed with the current Thomson on offer. You'd probably get a better router deal hunting around I'm sorry to say.
There is a very very long thread about the new products http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,74056.0.html and an update and summary http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,74429.0.html.
