    <description>We lost our BT land-line just over a week ago due to a fault further up the village.&amp;nbsp; When the fault was corrected yesterday, our modem connected at it's best ever speed (&amp;gt;6Mbps), but the download speed was only 128kbps.&lt;BR /&gt;I rang PlusNet's help-line and the CSA initially said that it needed a three day training period for the speed to recover. Once I explained that I neded the connection at a decent speed to be able to provide remote support for my employer, he asked if it was OK to put me on hold for a couple of minutes.&amp;nbsp; When he returned, he said he'd arranged an SNR reset and to give it four hours and the speed to improve.&lt;BR /&gt;After an hour, the modem disconnected, then reconnected and a few minutes later the download speed was back to it's previous 3Mbps.&amp;nbsp; It's done so again this morning and the connection is now at about 7Mbps with a download speed of over 5Mbps. &lt;BR /&gt;More than happy with that &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.plus.net/html/@13ACAF1B4DB3038AD540E11CDD6AB984/images/emoticons/cheesy.gif" alt="Cheesy" title="Cheesy" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Richard</description>
