I got an email from Plusnet today increasing my usage allowance by 50%

Important information about your Plusnet Premium broadband package
Hello.
We want to make sure you're continuing to get the most out of your broadband, and so we've made some improvements to your Plusnet Premium broadband package.
What does this mean for me?
From 13th June 2012, your monthly usage allowance has increased to 120GB. So, if you've already used 80GB of your usage allowance this month, you'll now have 40GB left to use until your next billing date. After that, you'll have 120GB of usage each month. And don't forget, any usage between midnight and 8am still won't count towards your monthly allowance.
What's more, you can now download our internet security software, Plusnet Protect, free of charge. To find out more about Plusnet Protect, click here.
Rest assured, you don't have to do a thing. Your usage increase has been applied to your account automatically, and there will be no change to the subscription price of your broadband package.

Thank you for that. I am now wondering how I will benefit from Plusnet's generosity and use 120gb per month plus the overnight availability.

I was wondering if its even possible to use 120Gb in a month on 20CN, but I'll let someone else do the maths!

Plusnet Premium is a legacy product that is no longer on sale. However it is being given a make over to provide a 120GB per month allowance at a higher price than Plusnet Extra.

That will explain why SWMBO didn't get the same notification, I'm kinda glad I switched from my olde BBYW to Premium when I did, i seem to recall that it was rejigged shortly afterwards and the change in traffic shaping didn't have any adverse effect for me
Now all I need is to get BT to upgrade my exchange to 21CN!
