Sorry, misinterpreted your OP, though you weren't seeing ANY optional tertiary address.
Maybe the clue is in the word 'tertiary', if they showed all of them they'd need to change that word
Do they assume that you'd never need more than three?
Does this mean that 212.159.6.10 is likely to be under-utilised (I don't think this is the case as this tends to be the one my router (set on Auto) shows as 'currently used for standard queries')

To be honest, I don't specifically know why we have the tertiary listed at all.
All four IPs are in a nut shell, all the same these days. The cDNS systems have been setup in a way that we never changed IPs and thus, did not need to change customer habits.
We now operate in excess of 4 servers, which are load balanced. When using our 4 core cDNS servers IPs, you will be distributed across the servers for the site at which your DSL session terminates.
It is still recommended you use cDNS server IPs in pairs though (212.159.6.9 & 212.159.6.10, 212.159.13.49 & 212.159.13.50).
So as above, I don't know why we list the 3rd, as there is no performance benefit.

212.159.6.9 & 10 I always thought were the ones to use for BB, and the other two for Dial-up! And 212.159.6.9 & 10 are the ones that are retrieved automatically on my 20CN connection.
As far as I'm concerned, if they are all the same they should all be listed.

I can see the logic of only giving two as they all go to the same servers anyway, and giving all four makes sense. But listing three... !
