Correction - email was back up now isn't but RSS Feed and Usergroup Site down

usertools.plus.net is not responding which is responsible for both of them.

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at webmail.plus.net

member centre keeps failing on the login, betawebmail is also down.... plusnet have an internal problem I think.
main plusnet website down as well.

Being asked for password to access e-mail from Outlook.
Main website seems OK, but can't log in to member centre
"Live bookmark feed failed to load"
Status page still showing everything OK

This looks a little random - in Outlook / Windows Live Mail - I have 3 PN accounts, some work others do not. I cannot logon to the user portal, nor can I establish a connection to the webmail home page.
I suspect a complex problem here, no notice on the service page - if anyone has a hot line in to PN today, would be good to get them post a very visible awareness notice... their (understandably) limited CS service today will by now be flooded with phone calls...!

Email down for both Outlook retrieval and via phone. Webmail seems unavailable as well.
No service status yet.

Accessing my email form Outlook is very intermittent - connects one minute not the next - I can't log into the Member Centre, tells me password/user name is invalid.

Just been on the Phone to PlusNet thay have a Data Centre outage in one of there Data Centres, it should be fixed by 17:30

Hi all,
Just to confirm we're experiencing a problem at our Victoria Quays data centre in Sheffield. This means that the portal, webmail and a few other services will be down at present.
Work is underway to get this fixed ASAP.

Thank you for reporting these facts. I also cannot access either betawebmail.plus.net or webmail.plus.net and was having trouble with Outlook Express though that's just connected about five minutes ago - however down again now
Unhelpfully PlusNet Assist keeps kicking in, but tries to fix the problem wrongly - since it can't find my account and then wants to create one for me. (EDIT - for info Oldjim has started a discrete topic for this here)

Can we have an update on this? I can't get email to deliver via IMAP.free-online.net or get on to the members' portal.
It sounds like a bit more than a data outage on PN

These problems are why my email accounts are web based, accessed POP by Apple Mail, and also auto forward all emails to other separate accounts, including PlusNet, so if there is a problem with one I have "backups" in my other accounts.
Other ISP's have similar problems too occasionally, hence the above.
Two of my backup services also allow me to reply to and send emails as if from my main account addresses, very useful.
(Apple Mail POP and Orange)

I can't report in great detail I'm afraid as I'm not at work right now however I am aware that this is still an issue. I've been assured that work is still under way to get things back up and running.
Sorry to hear this is taking longer to fix than was originally expected, I'll update this thread again if I hear anything more.

Seems to be as bad as ever - just been asked for my e-mail password again.
And this time the main plusnet page is down, and so is the service status page.
The first report was for this to have been sorted a while back (like, by 5.30pm) - is there any news?

IMAP and POP3 both seem OK now (for the moment). SMTP isn't.
