Dramatic speed drop on an evening

Just noticed the last couple of days , my speed drops from 7000 during the day to around 300-600 on an evening , makes it really difficult to do anything other than browsing . Just wondering if there was any reason for this

What is the status of your exchange - it might be due to local congestion http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/
Can you monitor the errors during the evening as compared to the day time as large numbers of errors can really wreck your speed tests

Exchange seems fine no congestion , howdo you check for errors ?

depends on the router - there should be something in the detailed stats - I use Routerstats with mine
The other thing is to check how low your noise margin goes - if mine goes below about 2.5 dB the speed is clobbered

Firstly I would check here for anything obvious, also, If you can run some BT speed tests during these times before raising a fault if none of the above.
