Silly Question perhaps, but what _is_ "12am"

Just that really.
In your Broadband speed tables for various products, you mention time slots like 11pm-12am and 12am-6pm.
When I read this I guess that 12am means midnight - but some people use this same term to mean mid-day.

If it _did_ mean mid day, that would make most of your products unsuitable for me.
So, can you confirm that when you say 12am it means midnight?
How about a helpful note on the Broadband speeds tables?

The easy answer is that the charts start at midnight which they call 12.am
This can be seen by the fact that almost all products are shown as line speed over night (the exception being VPN and Gaming on Value and midnight to 1.00am on Fibre)

Alll would be much clearer if 24 hr clock was used. I can't believe that anyone, who uses a computer would not understand.

12am is midnight. The moment the clock hits 12am, it is then morning.
That's how I always remember it

Given this ambiguity, the terms 12 a.m. and 12 p.m. should be avoided.

I agree with lucerne, the 24 hour clock is the obvious choice as a day is divided into 24 hourly units.

AM is Ante Meridian and PM Post Meridian and Noon is neither it is the Meridian so it is 12.00 or noon nothing else. The other one is midnight
That is a coherent system otherwise use the 24.00 clock
I think PN and others have lost their way trying to adapt a system to another purpose
But that doesn't answer the question or help the OP in any way

Rather OT but the 24 hr clock holds one time that is engraved in my psyche fifty-five years on.... 23:59 hrs. Who knows that as well as me?

The 65 year old clock I'm thinking of only ever got to 23:58!
Edit: It's 65 not 55 anyway

No,it's neither at Midnight.It becomes morning after midnight not at it.
