OK didnt really know where to put this
and as such - i haven't found anyone else saying it (I could be wrong??)
But theres a "Test Pro- Addon" on the add ons via membercenter?

Test Pro Addon and Pro Addon

What is the difference between the Test Pro Add On and Pro Add on? I have subscribed both but suspect I only need one of them. I work from home so the 2 things that influenced by decision to join Plus Net was the Static IP and the Pro Add On but how does the Test Pro Add On differ to the Pro Add On?

Excellent, thanks for raising that Chris.
Any idea why its appeared? someone been playing with replicating issues with the Pro addon not being added, and its been published live, rather than internal?

Bingo. There was some testing on issues surrounding the billing and profiling of the Pro add-on which is why the new test add-on was created. Unfortunately this was put live and around 10 people added it. We're removing it and sorting out the upcoming bills to ensure they don't get incorrectly billed.

so how does this work then with pro add on (not the test one) 11.49 on value with 10gb cap and 16.49 on extra 60gb cap. so you have done away with the stand alone pro package at 20gb for the what i remember 19.99 or near about.
seems to good to be true to have no lower than gold priority on 60gb for £17 a month, i remember the pro boys an girls begging for usage increase and they was paying alot more for it to.
is this aloud on a fttc 120gb(from memory again) connection as well? holds VM contract in both corners of the page waiting for reply

Its quite a good deal imho.
Just cant justify the extra - on the Fibre packages 20/10 meg cabs are more than double what i used to get... when i start feeling fibre isnt quick, ill probs add it

to be honest i did try the pro add on for a while and found i had absolutely no difference in my connection i do a lot of gaming online which it supposed to give a higher priority but was exactly the same as just the basic package , which i have .
so it was a waste of money for me

rongtw it would only show an improvement in your gaming if the games traffic was mis classfied, if its classified right then the experience is the same across all packages (that's if there not 2mb rate capping on value, like they did on unlimited usage)
pro comes into its own for pc gamers mostly as the wide selection of ports ect used makes keeping up with traffic management sigs alittle harder so you wouldnt have to wait for a game to be released then reported an wait about a week for PN to build a signature for the game.
how much would it come to on the fibre packages then (yes am lazy oldjim)

Depending on which package you are on, either Value or Extra you'd add £10 for the fibre then £5 for the Pro Add on.

So does the pro add on run at BT's estimated line speed or the speed the line is capable of.
I added this Sat evening there seemed to be a bit of a difference but when I checked my speed its now running at a fairly constant 980m although I didn't check the speed just before adding it, normally I have been running at a fairly constant 1400-1500 with no problem although on llu I know my line happily stays at 2 m.
Nothing at all has changed at my end to cause this difference

Pro removes the rate limits that apply on Value and Extra and allows all traffic to come down as fast as possible. As Oldjim says it doesn't affect the IP profile.
