Thought I would get better than this

When I signed up to come with PN I thought that I was going to get better speeds than this, now thinking seriously on going back to BT Broadband

have you triend running the speed test on PN against mybroadbandspeed - to give a fair test.
also posting any line stats from your router may help to give an indication of any issues.

The BT reading was done by the "Broadband Test" on PN here is one that I have just done on PN never had any problems with speed whilst on BT

there are a lot of differenced between the two speed tests you have just posted, try the PN one again http://www.mybroadbandspeed.co.uk/

also what are you router stats see here how to get them http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/frogstats.php

another thought, you might have been put on ADSL2, that will drop your speed if you synch below 4M, I think that PN can switch you back to ADSL, your BT & Stats will show what you are on

Have just done the "Speedtester.bt.com" test results below
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1723 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 400-2000 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :2784 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2000 Kbps

Yep, the best thing to do is raise a fault here: https://portal.plus.net/apps/kbdfaults that will allow us to gather the information we need, run some diagnostics and work towards a solution with our suppliers.

OK have just raised a ticket, see wat happens now, but I think a return to BT is looming, after 10 days I am very dissapointed with the speeds I am getting,

Right, we've noticed that you've been online solidly for 8 days now and your sync speed won't improve without a reboot.
I'd recommend restarting the router during daylight hours for the best chances of your speeds improving.

When you post results just copy past ALL the code from the forum link - not just the direct link URL. It will look like:

which will display as

Note clicking the image takes you to www.mybroadbandspeed.co.uk
