Do Plusnet plan to increase the VAT element on 4th January?
This will mean that my monthly payment will at the price point of £11-73 instead of £11-49.

Interesting Question.
I seemed to recall that PN reduced their prices when VAT was reduced to 15% some time ago so based on that I guess they will increase them.
I Do not speak for plusnet so this is simply an assumption on my part.

I suspect some prices will be rejigged to make VAT-inclusive a nice price point, and some will probably just have the extra VAT lumped on top.

Yes, there will be some changes announced to coincide with the VAT increase next year. In fact you're likely to receive an email about it over the next fortnight or so.
Jeremy, in your case the amount you're paying for your broadband will remain the same as it is now. For the benefit of others, this isn't the case with *all* packages so keep your eyes peeled for the emails we'll be sending out...
Edit: probably pointed out elsewhere but you might want to update your sig Jeremy to remove the reference to South Africa.
