Is the Service Status RSS feed still live? - My RSS reader has been flagging an error while trying to update for the last few days and I can't now find a link on the Status page to retrieve the feed properties. (It used to be http://usertools.plus.net/status/status.xml but that's now giving "Server returned timed out" on the validator page.)

Not sure what that link was supposed to be!
The RSS feed comes from Usertools
http://www.plus.net/supportpages.html?a=2&support_action=messages&ispservice_id=portal

The link I gave is exactly the link I intended to give which says:

Quote

Usertools/Usergroup Accessibility (55128) - UPDATE
This is an update to the previously reported problem with access to the Usertools and Usergroup websites.
Repairing the filesystem on the failed server has proven unsuccessful, as such we're now in the process of copying data onto new hardware from a backup.
We don't expect access to be fully restored until Monday unfortunately, we will provide a further update then.
Apologies for the continued inconvenience.
Kind Regards
Mand Beckett
Customer Support

Usertools is currently broken. Now how you expect a RSS feed to work from a server that is itself broken I'm not quite sure!

The alternative is to subscribe to service status e-mails, which I have done - they tend to come in very regularly.

Generally speaking though poppy, if the RSS feed is broken then so is the email feed
