OLd Router

The BT Voyager Router I have been using for well over a year and a half starts to play up and I'm told its gone over its warranty.
Plusnet pass me on to BT and BT say to get a new one
I have to say that I'm cheesed off because all my latest referrals are getting shiney new D-Link DSL 2640B routers which I know are much better.
As a loyal customer of Plusnet (I was with Metronet for years before I moved here) I think I should deserve better treatment
As with many commerces its the new customers who get the best deals

I think you will find that it depends on which Option you are on to actually receive a new router and the agreement to stay with Plusnet for a further 12 months.
Plusnet will see your thread here and reply.

If you don't mind sticking with us for a further 12 months, I'll happily get a new wireless router sent out to you if you don't mind paying the postage charge of £6.99.

I have been with Plusnet/metronet for years and have no intention of moving to another provider
I like the reliability and sensible geographical helpline
I dont mind paying postage.
I'm just down the road from plusnet and could also collect it from your office
Please let me know either way

The routers are generally sent out from a non-Sheffield based warehouse (can't remember where it was).

Perhaps you should bring them in-house?
On two separate occasions the order for the router didn't "go" and the request had to be repeated.
Not a problem for me on either occasion - but it could have been.
