Have been with Plusnet Broadband 14 days and received a mail today.

"When you signed up for your broadband account, we performed a check on your telephone line to give you an estimated speed your line might achieve.
Now that your service has now been active for 14 days, we thought we'd let you know the speed as it stands today, by way of comparison.
Estimated line speed: 4.5Mbps
Current line speed: Not available"
I am impressed to get a mail about my broadband speed but not when it tells me the answer is "Not available"! If the answer can be this, why not set up an auto action to not send the mail but check the speed later or at the least advise me that its not available now but "we will contact you again to give you this information"?
Further to Bob's post, you can check your current speed via a BT speedtest, here.
