Recently my speeds have been all over the place. Today they are absolutely dreadful as you can see below. I used to get 6 MBs but recently the best I got is like 4Mb, but now its like 0.8. What's going the on?
To best honest I am really getting fed up with not knowing from 1 day to the next the speed I wil get, and am now thinking about moving my broadband to another provider.
Date	Download Speed	Upload Speed
Today 18:17	794 kbps (99.3kB/s)	353 kbps (44.1kB/s)	Share
Today 18:09	834 kbps (104kB/s)	349 kbps (43.6kB/s)	Share
Today 18:08	1230 kbps (154kB/s)	334 kbps (41.8kB/s)	Share
Today 18:05	1083 kbps (135kB/s)	354 kbps (44.3kB/s)	Share
Dec 23, 23:40	3835 kbps (479kB/s)	374 kbps (46.8kB/s)	Share
Dec 23, 21:36	1921 kbps (240kB/s)	348 kbps (43.5kB/s)	Share
Dec 23, 21:23	2375 kbps (297kB/s)	378 kbps (47.3kB/s)	Share
Dec 20, 15:53	1539 kbps (192kB/s)	380 kbps (47.5kB/s)	Share
Dec 20, 15:02	2483 kbps (310kB/s)	377 kbps (47.1kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 23:10	2711 kbps (339kB/s)	380 kbps (47.5kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 22:50	3677 kbps (460kB/s)	366 kbps (45.8kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 18:20	4002 kbps (500kB/s)	379 kbps (47.4kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 18:16	4329 kbps (541kB/s)	380 kbps (47.5kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 17:57	4309 kbps (539kB/s)	381 kbps (47.6kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 17:52	4986 kbps (623kB/s)	379 kbps (47.4kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 16:50	2083 kbps (260kB/s)	376 kbps (47kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 16:49	3029 kbps (379kB/s)	380 kbps (47.5kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 16:48	1736 kbps (217kB/s)	382 kbps (47.8kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 16:48	3624 kbps (453kB/s)	381 kbps (47.6kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 16:27	1088 kbps (136kB/s)	379 kbps (47.4kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 16:12	884 kbps (111kB/s)	377 kbps (47.1kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 16:10	1543 kbps (193kB/s)	382 kbps (47.8kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 16:09	1129 kbps (141kB/s)	379 kbps (47.4kB/s)	Share
Dec 19, 16:05	1535 kbps (192kB/s)	378 kbps (47.3kB/s)	Share
Router stats
Current Language	English
Available Languages
Time
Sunday January 2,2000. 2:03:20
Version Info LAN Settings
Hardware	F5D8635-4v1 LAN MAC Address	00:22:75:45:08:4A
Firmware Version	1.00.17 IP Address	192.168.2.1
Boot Code Version	1.1.5 Subnet Mask	255.255.255.0
Wireless driver	1.8.1.0 DHCP Server	Enabled
Internet Settings WLAN Settings
WAN MAC Address	00:22:75:45:08:4C Wireless	On
Connection Type	PPPoA SSID	Bears router
Subnet Mask	255.255.255.255 Security Type	WPA-PSK(no server)
WAN IP	87.115.241.165 Encryption Type	AES
Default Gateway	195.166.128.135 WLAN MAC Address	00:22:75:45:08:4A
Primary DNS Server	212.159.6.9 WPS	Enabled
Secondary DNS Server	212.159.6.10 Guest Access	Disabled
Condition	Connected • SSID	Belkin_N+_GuestAccess
 • Password/PSK	45084A
ADSL Router Status
Type	G992_1_A Power	Full Power
Modem Status	Showtime Firewall Settings	On
Downstream Upstream
Access Control	Off
Data Rate(Kbps)
7616	448
DDNS	Off
Noise Margin
15.5	23.0
USB	Connected
Output power
19.9	11.9
Attenuation
18.7	12.0

@Barry, I,ve been exploring all avenues since the 6th December Last Year! After 6 visits by 3 different BT "Engineers" to my premises, plus a REIN "Engineer" to the loacality I am still back in the same boart where even the BT speed test will not run! Don't you dare have a go at me for being extremely ******* off! The man at the top should get to know and should always carry the can!

It is not constructive to suggest that every customer who has an issue should email the CEO. Quite frankly, it's an idiotic idea. The majority of issues that customers have can be resolved very simply, either by end-user configuration, or with Plusnet intervention.
Once all other avenues have been explored and have failed, an email to the CEO is a good last resort.
Please refrain from trolling other peoples threads with the same suggestion, where other more appropriate action should be taken.
B.
@batfink - Your line is stable and has had a 6500 profile for as long as it's been on ADSL Max. If you could run a BT speed test (at http://www.speedtester.bt.com) and post the results here we'll be able to advise further.
If that's showing the same issue, raise us a speed fault at http://faults.plus.net and we'll get investigating for you.
@steve74 - I can see a couple of disconnections yesterday though that may have been reboots from yourself - your line profile hasn't suffered as a result and is still showing as 7150. Have things returned to normal now, or are they still slow? I'm wondering if your issues were caused by Friday's problems on the network (you can see details of these at http://usertools.plus.net/status/archive
