Nuisance calls late night 01213 140001

Just received a call from phone number 01213 140001 at 00.30 this morning. When I answered, there was a recording that said something to the effect of the extension you dialed does not exist. After looking up the number to see where it originated from I found numerous complaints at various sites regarding this phone number calling at all hours from 10pm to 3am.
The company that has this telephone number is called We Solve IT, Ltd. On their site it states they have been hacked/spoofed on their phone lines. http://www.wesolveit.co.uk/ along with the following message.
"The only possibility of tracing this caller is through YOUR phone provider.
If enough of you pursue this line with BT or Virgin etc, then there may be a result
of shutting the perpetrator down.
You will need to give them the exact time of the call but as so many of you were called
in the early hours of the morning, this should make it easier for them to trace.
We will continue to pursue it from our end."
Anyone else getting these calls? What can PN do to help stop this? It's a bit upsetting to receive a call at this time of the night as it would be a family emergency for anyone to call us then.

looking at http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/01213140001 rather a lot, 10 pages of complaints on the 6th
I got called at 00:45 this morning

A horrible thought
with the large number of calls being made, is Somebody out east making up a new data base of working numbers for the Scam/Spam merchants

It is not coming from us or our phone system but from somewhere in eastern Europe.

I got the same call from that number last night, when I answered it there was a noise like an engaged signal.

Whilst it won't stop the callers some phones allow the user to set a period that the phone will not ring (screen indication only of a call) known as 'night mode'.

The phones in my house are managed by my router (a FRITZ!Box) which also has a night mode. You can enable this for any time period and on a phone by phone basis.

There's not much we (or other phone providers in this type of situation) can do I'm afraid. I would advise you to join TPS for what it's worth: http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html
The calls will probably stop but please let me know if this becomes a persistent issue as in that case I can take you through our policy relating to nuisance calls.
