I have a PlusNet "Unlimited Fibre Extra inc. Line Rental" contract until end 2026. I have a Gigaset 405/415 home landline phone with 2 extension phones. I have a ASDA (Vodaphone) PAYG Android phone (unlocked) with no "on street" data usage - I rely on connecting to wifi for data. I am very experienced with my Win 11 desktop and laptop computers, and my Plusnet network, but a very unwilling user of mobile phones.

I believe that traditional landlines will be switched to digital by Jan 2027. I also believe that PlusNet and EE are owned by BT.

1. Will I be able to get my broadband, landline and mobile phone all under the same contract (with data, so that I can use the mobile phone on the street)?

2. Will I be able to go to a physical EE shop - in London - to set this up instead of online or by phone (I will not want to do this)?

3. Will I need new landline phones?

4. Does my current "Fibre Extra" contract already satisfy the switchover to digital requirements so that I won't need to do anything at all?

1) I believe you will be contacted to move to EE (Broadband) so that Plusnet can deliver the remainder of your contract. Once your current "Plusnet" contract completes I'm sure EE will offer something and you may well be able to add mobile data to this.

2) I suspect EE will want to deal with you online or on the phone.

3) The Gigaset phone base station should plug into the socket on the EE router. You can also get a rather nice cordless phone with the EE base station that doesn't need another piece of equipment.
