Problems receiving calls from landlines

I have lived her for over 30 years with no problem. Recently when called from a landline there is no connection to the caller, but a loud bleep on the line. I can receive calls from mobiles OK, and I can make calls OK. My broadband is also OK.

Try getting your landline line checked using the instructions below, and if no fault is found then you should be contacted by Plusnet support, or have the option to request that they call you.

@WendyB41 Are the callers known to you or are they cold calling ?

Recently we seem to be getting a lot of cold callers who just don’t want to speak….

The callers are known to me, eg my doctor.

Following my report, the Openreach engineer fixed the fault on my line. In then testing it out he also found the problem with my phone which was only accepting calls from mobiles.
