problems receiving international calls

Hi, Is anyone having problems with international calls. When I receive an international call the caller can hear me but I cannot hear them. Any suggestions as to what may be wrong?

It could be one of a number of things - a little more info could narrow it down.

Does it happen on calls you make, or only ones received?

How many people/countries are involved?

Hi. Only happens on calls I receive
Caller is from Canada

Are you using a standard telephone plugged in to a phone socket in your home, with a Plusnet call package ?,

or have you pre-emptively upgraded your handset to VoIP in anticipation of the UK phone system switch off next year ?
