Call plan for one month

I could do with taking out a call plan for one month (or until my Father in law comes out of hospital). Is it possible to add/remove plans month by month? Or are they a fixed term arrangement.

As far as I know you can but when you add one it only becomes active at the next billing date (and similarly when you delete the call plan).

That's right - you're only 'tied in' for a month at a time.
