Do Plusnet offer OCB? I was told today by phone that they do not but I’ve read elsewhere today that they do.

How ridiculous that the sales team said they don’t. I wonder what they mean by ‘ 341# - This will bar almost all calls from your phone’. I wonder if it allows emergency calls and bars all others? That’s what I want.

There’s only one sure way to find out. You can always remove a bar if it blocks calls you want to make

It would be good if someone from Plusnet could give a definite answer as I’m not going to sign up for a contract if it can’t give me what I need. I’ve got a holiday let and need to block outgoing calls, otherwise phone bills would be unmanageable, but need to allow emergency calls. I’ve got that with the Post Office broadband at the moment but they can’t offer me fast broadband, which Plusnet can.

Plusnet will be using the same BT Openreach system as offered to any other ISP to implement call barring.

The option is implemented now so once you’ve signed up (or I believe you can choose the option while signing up) you’ll be able to add on outgoing call barring feature.

A misunderstanding of terms, I suspect.

They don't offer OCB, which is Outgoing Calls Barred (permanent).

As per the above posts, they do offer Call Barring, where selective barring is controlled by the customer.

When I phoned Plusnet to ask, I didn’t ask for OCB specifically, I asked was it possible to block outgoing calls but allow emergency calls.
