Landline won't connect to mobile

I mislay my mobile a lot so ring it from landline to locate. For past 2 months I receive a message stating it is not possible to connect and the mobile does not ring. The number is not blocked. Can anyone help please?

Sorry to hear that. Can you please confirm if you are able to call any other mobile number or is it just yours which is not working? If you are able to call other mobile numbers then it would suggest that this number was blocked on your mobile.

Can you please let us know what is exact message when you are trying to connect?

This is very odd. I was on O2 but changed over to GiffGaff today and now the landline rings the mobile. Doesn't make any sense as GiffGaff uses O2 network. The message I was receiving before was that it was not possible to connect.
