    <description>&lt;P&gt;Since moving our landline and broadband from BT about a month have finally noticed that the answering machine is not recording incoming messages. Incoming numbers are being recognised and the machine asks you to record a message after the beep and to the caller the&amp;nbsp; message&amp;nbsp; appears to be being recorded. Unfortunately on the answer machine there is no message recorded, so we have no indication that a message has been left. Any bright ideas about what is wrong. This has only just started since our switch. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;As far as I'm aware, a new Home Phone service is by default provided with Plusnet's 1571 service, known as Voicemail. I believe it cuts in after seven rings, which maybe is quicker than your machine.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If this is the case, you should hear interrupted dial tone to indicate that at least one message is waiting. Dial 1571 and follow the prompts to retrieve any messages.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If the service is not required, after signing in to your account it can be removed &lt;A href="https://www.plus.net/plustalk/index.php?page=wlr_remove_call_features" target="_self"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

As &lt;a href="https://community.plus.net/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/9063"&gt;@198kHz&lt;/a&gt; has pointed out, by default we enable the voicemail on your line and this is probably what's causing your voicemail machine not to pick up the messages.&lt;BR /&gt;
If you follow the link he's provided then you can request the voicemail be removed and this would take effect within the following 24 hours.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
