The router’s packaging box which I received recently was fairly secure with its tabs, though it wasn’t trying to be tamper-proof or tamper-evident.

If you perceive a security risk from the remote possibility that someone might have seen the router’s default WiFi SSID name and password, then carefully re-packed the box without damaging the packaging, then you can change those wifi security details to alternatives which only you know.

Other than that, there’s nothing particularly special about that router, and it’s still the case that only you know your account details and account password. And you can change your WiFi SSID name and password whenever you want. HTH

I have recently received my router. The box was not sealed with cellophane or tape. Is it normal?

@fs8 I can't speak for Plusnet routers, but my EE router was sent recently in an unsealed box. So was my sister's BT router. I was surprised that they didn't even secure it with some type of sticker.
