I've received my router and been moved to EE, but will not be at my property for the next six weeks. Can I complete the switch seamlessly on my return in September?

What service are taking fro EE? Although that is slightly irrelevant. Providing nothing goes wrong , all you will need to do is substitute the EE hub for the PN one and it should 'just work'.

I won't be able to say if it's fixed it until I return to my property in September. The post is pretty clear if you read it!

And as I said, it SHOULD just work when you switch routers - if you have a problem on you return, post back.

If you have the router I would expect the switch to complete within days.

Unless there is an upgrade to full fibre involved it's a reprogramming in Openreach's systems and could be invisible to you.

If you leave the EE router plugged in, if you are away, phoning your landline number would be a reasonable test. After a few rings it would go to the Digital Voice answering machine.
