Reward Card plus points and tips

I have been reading the many complaints and queries re Rewards Cards mainly to see how to spend them and so for balance I report the following

I took a new deal about a Month ago promising a £65 Reward Card and after the 14 day period which I am sure Plusnet wait for the Customer to get past , I got an Email saying my Reward Card would be on the way very soon. Also explained what to do when it arrived.

Well "very soon" was literally 2 days after I was told it would be pretty soon. I registered it and was happy. Other people who read this must think I am lucky but perhaps only the disappointed ones register their beefs on here so as I said I thought I would give my positive outcome

I only really looked at the Forum to see "how to spend and where to spend" the Card and again after a bit of a shaky start I was pleased to say I managed to spend the whole amount in 4 transactions so here is my Summary

Armed with the Pin from the time I registered I first tried to spend the Card by trying to pay off most of the balance on my Argos Account (used to but an Ipad for Mrs Bamboozled but that failed. I waited 24 hours in case the Rewards Card needed to be activated by Pure Card. That didnt work and neither did waiting a further 12 hours so I gave up

Next (because I wanted to spend the whole thing in one go not have an odd useless 28p or similar left) I spent over 65 pounds at Morrisons . At the checkout I said Id like to pay using theis Card please. They set it up and it was rejected . The Operator said sorry we dont support that kind of transaction so I was 0 for 2 but Im not convinced given the following that the person was right

Attempt three was a Tesco Extra and I had been told "they take this Card" so I picked a new Mug and went to the Self Service and put in the Card and Pin and boom - transaction approved

I went back in the shop itself and bought a few things we needed making sure I stayed below my new balance of 62.50 and spent 31.40 (so Tesco take the Card).

Next Aldi where I was prepared to be turned down but again at the self check out Card accepted. Again I picked things we needed and 21.10 was spent (so Aldi ok too)

So randomly look at the total expended to date . I couldnt make it up £55 so just a tenner left.

Off past Asda I thought call in and after a bit more shopping I went to a manned till and said Ive got exactly £10 on this Card , so can I try it please and pay the balance by a different Debit Card please . They said no problem , I tapped in the Pin and he said accepted ( so Asda took it too ) I settld the rest and boom the 65 was gone in 4 transactions in 3 different shops

Hope this helps those waiting for Cards to come and moreso the people who get them and wonder where to spend them

Im sure there are many other places but at least you know of 3 from as recently as yesterday
