Anyone know how long to install the ont box I'm due to change over 9th Oct 2023 but heard nothing from openreach other than to say I confirm they can install it

The ONT box is the easy part of an installation. Running the fibre and bring it into the house is the more time consuming element. You also have a box on the outside wall.

A straight forward install might take up to two hours but each is different.

Hi @Dixie2442 You'll get a confirmation email with the engineer appointment, the Suppliers will book the earliest slot available.

Thanks I'm due to change over next wk only had email from openreach asking if I agree to the installation

Use the following checker and see what it says.

Against WBC FTTP in the results window you're looking for "One Stage" to the right under install. Then, in the narrative below the window, it'll say something about the install. What matters is if it notes any potential problems.

If it's One Stage, then everything is done in one visit - internal and external. As stated it can take less than two hours with no problems.

They ask for telephone DN etc I know none of these

Use the Address version. Enter the Post Code only and select the address from the drop down list.
