Well it turns out the answer is five days. I've just received the change complete e-mail and speeds have gone up appropriately.

Problem resolved.

Unlimited fibre to Fibre Extra - How long should it take?

My current Unlimited Fibre contract is coming to an end so I called on 19th June and was persuaded to take an Unlimited Fibre Extra contract for two years. I received an e-mail telling me that "This will change over on 20<SUP style="color: #676d70; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: #ffffff; text-decoration-thickness: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; line-height: 0;" data-ogsc="rgb(143, 149, 152)">th June 2022 and your new cost per month will be £27.50."

I've since been billed for £32.47 and there appears to be no change in my speeds (based on www.broadbandspeedtest.org.uk). I power cycled my router once yesterday but to no avail. When I log in to the PlusNet Member CentreI get a warning banner on almost every page saying "An error has occurred. You can't change your products for the moment, you already have a product change in progress."

So I wonder, has something gone wrong here or does it take time for the changeover to happen? If the later it would be useful to have an indication of typical timescales.
