      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp; I want to get broadband installed.&amp;nbsp; I Don't have an existing landline but have BT socket.&amp;nbsp; How long does it take to get installed and can I specify a date and time for the installation?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;If you already have a landline, even if the line is not currently in use, then unless there is a problem withing your property you will not need an Openreach visit as the connection is done remotely.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You can request a date for activation and this will be passed on to Openreach. However the actual day is subject to Openreach confirming that they have technician availability on the day.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;No , they will text/email when your installation is complete, you then just plug in the router which will have arrived a few days before in the post.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
