Visual Radius graph shows the connection as being stable since the router reboot on Tuesday morning. At the moment I will consider the problem to have been a "one off" and will leave the router in place to see how it performs.
PeteB

582n losing broadband and not reconnecting - SOLVED

Just so that those trialing the 582n routers with IPv6 firmware are aware.
After successfully using the 582n for a few weeks on my 21CN line I took it over to a friends house yesterday, she is with Plusnet on a 20CN line. I wanted to get a non-technical persons views on it and IPv6 although my guess is that she will not be aware that IPv6 is working on her connection.
I installed it and checked it was working at approx. 7pm last night. Before I had arrived back home at 8:20 pm it had lost the broadband connection and needed powering off and back on to reconnect. This also happened sometime overnight.
I will try and recover it on Sunday and see if I can work out what is going on. The old router which I will put back is a Netgear DG834PN, don't know if it was losing the connection but if it was it reconnected automatically.
I will try and get some router log files to see if they show what is happening.
PeteB
Let us know if a factory reset doesn't fix that as we might need to provide a replacement.

It was supplied by Ben Trimble as part of the 582n / IPv6 trial and has test firmware. My next step is to try it again on my line, it did not have the problem when I tried it for a few weeks. I hope to recover it this weekend.
PeteB

Any chance of a Visual RADIUS graph or graphs for the user for the last couple of weeks?
I can PM the Plusnet usernames, it was the standard login until about 7pm on Monday 16th Jan and then an IPv6 login.
PeteB
