WOW talk about Jinx!!!
I have had WIFI probs the last 24 hours on and off, Wifi would drop completely as if router was rebooting it would then come back but now it dropped but still in the list of WIFI networks but i can no longer connect to it! Tried four laptops.
It had been rock solid, only thing i did of any change in that time was telnet the router to connect to ADSL2+ as per another thread.

As the title says, the wi-fi stops functioning on mine, it happened a few days ago and turning it off and on again fixed it but now it's happening again, my android phone won't connect to it now even though no settings have changed (it connected previously).

Try doing a full factory reset, then power down the router for a couple of minutes then do another factory reset and then setup the router again from scratch.
Sounds like faulty hardware though, it's not over heating is it?
I manually selected the channel and turned off multi-casting which allowed my android phone and tablet to connect, not sure what fixed it though.

I had an issue where wifi refused to allow any clients to connect (WPA/WPA2 PSK); it started working once I disabled auto-channel. (I left multicast enabled). Hard to know if the configuration change made the difference or it was just because the system restarted the wifi interface.
