I have tested newly installed Windows 7 systems, both 32 and 64 bit.
They both worked with IPv4 & IPv6. Windows 7 is IPv6 capable out of the box.
It is possible to disable IPv4 and/or IPv6 if required, I have done so for testing.
I am using a Billion 7800N (1.06d) as a combined modem/router so am unable to assist with the Vigor 120.
PB
Hi there
Failing to get anywhere with my routers (have two a WRT54g running OpenWRT and a Netgear WNDR3700v2 which fails with both Netgear and OpenWrt (newer version than on the WRT54G).
So finger points at the Vigor 120 modem. This operates as a PPPoe -> PPPoA bridge. So tried it direct with Windows 7. IPv4 address comes up fine, but no IPv6 address So I'm presuming the Vigor is at fault. I presume a plain Windows 7 connection this way should have worked? I've put the latest firmware on the modem, which includes references to IPv6 issues being fixed in a previous release - maybe not
Guess I'll need a replacement modem
Paul

Update, after a tip from the OpenWRT forums and working through the debug trace, I've added a dhcp client (wide-dhcp6-client) onto the router which picks up an address and assigned it to the router - so can resolve and ping ipv6.google.com from the router itself.
Next stage is getting a combination of radvd and wide-dhcp6-server to dish out some IPv6 addresses etc to the clients.
So good news appears to be that the Vigor 120 is fine as an IPv6 modem and that OpenWRT looks fine as a IPv6 router (no surprise) it just needs a little work to get running. I'll post some more detail once I fully understand what's what!
Lesson learnt - the pppoe daemon only gets the link local addresses from the ISP. You then need a dhcp cient to get the global addresses...

Paul
