I mentioned this in a post regarding my connection dropping <https://community.plus.net/t5/Broadband/Disconnections/m-p/2035335#M374283> but although I've got IPv4 connected now, I still have no IPv6 access, so thought I should also mention that here.

This is what the router says for IPv6 status:

Internet IPv6
WAN Interface Name: pppoe_ptm_101_0_d
MAC Address: (Redacted)
IP Address:
Default Gateway:
Primary DNS:
Secondary DNS:
Connection Type: PPPoE

Resetting my TP-Link router lost the IPv6 settings, so I've set them up as follows:

IPv6 Tunnel: (tick) Enable

Tunneling Mechanism: 6to4

Hopefully that's correct? I don't recall how I set it up initially, so if any other TP-Link router users can advise I'd be grateful.

If you are still using tp-link vr400? then are these not the setting?

https://community.plus.net/t5/IPv6-Trial/IPv6-on-a-TP-Link-VR400-router/m-p/2007157#M3469

Maybe take a backup when its working correctly

Test using https://test-ipv6.com/

I doubt that is correct . Failing someone else who's actually using a TPlink router posting , can you post details of the available settings ?

Sorry, your interface is different to mine, I'm on VDSL2 / FTTC, however I have tried (and failed) to get it working again.

If I set Site Prefix Type: Delegated, WAN Connection shows :No available interface.

OTOH, if I set Site Prefix Type: Static I can't save as I get:

Error code: 86201
Please input a prefix.

The Site Prefix: 2002:(etc) is filled in, as is the Site Prefix Length: 64

I'm scunnered with this router as it stands at the moment, but I might have. a configuration file backed up somewhere which I'll have to search for...

Otherwise, I might have to consider a newer router - this one has definitely seen better days.

I'm not using a Hub 2 as I need separate SSIDs for each Wireless band. and anyway a lightning strike nearby a while ago let the magic smoke out of mine.

If anyone has a suggestion for a robust and easy to configure VDSL modem/router with GBE ports, and can be repurposed to work on full fibre, assuming I'm still alive when we get that here, and isn't too expensive then I'm open to suggestions.

Budget in the region of £100-£120.

Yes you might have DSL but a little thinking at what you are viewing in the GUI I would hope you would be able to work out the default gateway would be the modem of the VR400 and not the WAN port.

I expect you see the above, Enable IPv6.

Try making the IPv6 Default Gateway to be the same as the IPv4***

EDIT: I'll switch my VR400 on later to see what the DSL config looks like, can't test it as I am Full Fibre

*** My VR400 shows the options as use Current Connection
