Zyxel NBG4604

Just joined the trial with this router.
I have been playing for the last hour trying to get this thing setup...
Currently I've got it set to 6-in-4 tunnel as follows:

Now it's picked up some form of IPv6 address there - is that the correct one?
Also, when I run a tracert I get the following strange behaviour:

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong/what's broken?

Try changing 6to4 to Native or ISP Assigned.

Options are as follows:

using PPPoE with the following settings doesn't get my PC any IPv6 address other than a link-local one, but can still ping the router at it's link-local address. It also doesn't show an IPv6 WAN address...

Try auto configuration and see what happens with that.

Still no luck - i've also checked in wireshark and there are no RA packets anywhere to be seen

I think the first thing to focus on is getting an external IPv6 address assigned on the PPP connection, which doesn't seem to be happening at the moment.
It should be PPPoE you need. Try choosing that again - disconnect, reboot your Openreach modem and then see if you can connect.
Are you using the latest firmware? Is there a system log with any errors?

looks like a possible firmware issue, when the asus firmware was temporarily broken that failed to get an ipv6 from plusnet as well.

So I tried PPPoE again (using IE to set it this time..) and this happened:

To answer your questions: yes latest firmware, log is so unhelpful, just confirms PPPoE mode for IPv6.

Select Stateless...that is what we've got it set to
It seems to be working - you're getting assigned an external address now
Try http://test-ipv6.com/ to see if you pass

No IPv6 address anymore - back to link-local after ipconfig/release/renew 😕

Nothing assigned in the router page?
fe80::/64 will be your link-local address

Yeah it's an fe80 address, nothing assigned on the router page, but the thread I linked to in my last post found that even when it was fully working, no address was listed on the router GUI - hence why I wanted to try a static assignment to see I'd I can connect, thus finding out if it is DHCPv6 that's failing?
