Hi there. My Hub One is on firmware version 4.7.5.1.83.8.226, which is below the latest version as far as I can tell.

I understand that manual updating is not possible, so what's the procedure for getting this remotely updated?

Thanks in anticipation

The Hub One is long out of date. If you have the latest firmware then that's all you're getting unless some serious securtry bug appears which they need to fix.

Depending on the length remaining on your contract you might be able to score a Hub Two from PN for £7.99 p&p. Better WiFi but you can't split the 2.4 and 5.0 WiFi bands.

I've actually only started using it a week ago. Had a TP-Link Archer (which itself was from 2016), which appears to be incompatible with my daughter's new Samsung. Gives her a wifi connection but "no internet". Dug the old Hub One out of mothballs for now, and just noticed the firmware was well out.

Interesting that "Hub Ones running firmware older than 4.7.5.1.83.8.259.1.1 cannot receive remote updates". Because that appears to be the latest update. Which reads to me that if you have firmware less than that, you couldn't have it updated. So how did anyone get that latest version? And if only people on the latest version can get updates...but that's the last version...? I'm obviously missing something here.

Anyways, lovely as it is for a backup I'll probably buy a replacement

There is not an issue when the firmware updates were applied in sequence.

What is not possible is to update from 4.7.5.1.83.8.226 to 4.7.5.1.83.8.289.1.3 without the intermediate versions being applied first.

It is possible the Hub One may no longer be on the TR069 management system.
