I am a newbie to plusnet and have the Hub Two. Everything works fine, except I can't get it to connect to any devices that have (out of necessity) a static IP rather than use DHCP. They are listed as 'Not connected' and show an IP of 0.0.0.0.

The addresses are in the 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.13 range which the default DHCP avoids any below .64, so no conflict. I have switched off the agressive forcing of DHCP. I am in the 'Advanced' section. I can change the names and type/symbol for the devices, but I can't change the 'Always us this IP address' button. It will not change from 'No' to 'Yes'. (see screen grab)

I have tried rebooting, and even a factory reset will all devices off. Am about to try tearing my hair out. Has anyone overcome this issue please?

A device with a static IP outside the Hub 2 DHCP range should still work (as long as it has the correct subnet mask and default gateway) , just the Hub 2 wont show it.

Problem solved - with no hair loss! My static IPs were 192.168.0.n whereas the hub uses 192.168.1.n. My error - although a more user-friendly LAN interface and 'i' pop-ups would be a help as I could have sussed the what and why a lot quicker than by trial and error.

Thanks guys for posting and the info was useful anyway - especially the apparently mute button issue - it makes sense now.

Regards
