@Lovelythanks I assume from that that your 'Echo Studios' are 2.4Ghz only. In which case, it is possible to temporarily disable the 5Ghz band, pair them, and then re-enable the 5Ghz band.

EDIT: you posted your reply whilst I was creating mine. However, why only one stays connected doesn't make sense. Must be something to do with the kit.

Echo Studio Stereo Pair

I have a Plusnet Hub Two as my fibre broadband router. I cannot get my x2 Echo Studios to stereo link. I have found online some suggestion that the router is not compatible as I am unable to separate the 2.4 and 5ghz bands into two different wifi connections and the current set up results in the Alexa app not allowing me to do the stereo pair set up. I am tempted to buy an alternative router but wonder if this is indeed the root cause of the problem. Can you advise please?

I did manage to pair them. My router has 2.4 and 5ghz bands but the access to both is singular, you cannot create 2 separate wifi networks. So I turned off the 5ghz and then connected both echo studios. They both connected to the same 2.4 wifi network and I was then able to stereo link them using the Alexa app on my phone BUT the second studio only stays connected for a minute or so before dropping the wifi and then they are a pair no more
