Assuming you do not have to return the Amazon Eero routers back to TalkTalk they should probably work.

An insight in to your current setup would be helpful, depending on your connection type copper cable or Full Fibre cable will determine on how you would set the devices.

I am out most of the day, hopefully someone will come along and assist further.

Hi just in the process of moving from talk talk to plusnet, at the moment I have two talk talk eero 6 routers one acting as an extender to pick up my CCTV on the exterior walls as they are 18" thick granite blocks.

When I spoke to the sales guy at plusnet he made it sound real simple to hook the eeros up to the hub two router, has anyone done this yet and can help me in how to set this up, moving over from talk talk to plusnet 15/07/2025.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated thanks.

Note I am no IT literate in the slightest BUT can follow instructions!

Cheers

@jab1 I doubt TT routers will work on a PN connection,

You would normally be absolutely correct on that but I happen to have had experience of the TT supplied Eero with a neighbour. Unusually, they are not locked and could be used on a PLusnet connection.

and do they not want them back - most ISPs only loan them whilst you are customer these days?

Now there, I'm not sure, you may be correct ?

@Drooski As @Dan_the_Van says, more information particularly on whether you've ordered Full fibre (FTTP) or just normal Fibre(FTTC) would be useful to enable the correct advice to be given

@Drooski in that case you should be able to connect the primary Eero directly to the ONT. Then configure its internet connection for PPPoE with your Plusnet username & password.

This https://support.eero.com/hc/en-us/articles/360060086931-Configuring-Internet-service-provider-ISP-settings should explain how to set PPPoE on the Eero.

Here https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/broadband-connection-settings/ is the details on using your own router , you need the 'what settings should I use for a router connected to a BT openreach modem' ( the ONT is effectively a Fibre modem )
