Is the BT Hub and Plusnet Hub somehow connected together, are you using any powerline adapters?

I moved from a BT account with a BT hub to a Plusnet service with PN2 hub. It has worked fine but now I need to access the hub to resolve a channel conflict. When I enter the usual 192.168.1.254 address, I am sent to a BT hub page, on which, unsurprisingly, my Plusnet admin password does not work.

Any thoughts, please?

Thanks for your help.

There is now no BT hub at all- it was returned to BT at end of contract. I am trying to access the Plusnet 2 hub via a Dell laptop.

There are no powerline adapters or repeaters involved. The reason for accessing the hub is that my Epson 760 printer has started to report a channel conflict, so I intend to change the wifi channel- when I can reach the Plusnet page!

Previously, the whole system- hub, printer, internet access on linked Apple phones and an iPad, had worked faultlessly.

Even now, it's just the printer refusing to print which is an issue. Even so, I should be able to access the hub, even if it has an identity issue. The BT page it accesses seems to show valid information- for a (non-existent) BT hub.

Thanks for your reply.

When you attach to the Hub are you using wired or wireless? A wired connection should guarantee you're connected to your hub?

When attached to this Hub can you navigate around the menus, do you see your devices connected or someone elses?

Did restore a backup from your old BT Hub? Not sure if it would work but it's worth asking nonetheless.

If you are happy to maybe a factory reset is the best course of action here as that should clear everything down to a know system good, this will however clear out any personalised settings you would have made.

To factory reset press a paper clip or similar into the hole next to the DC power socket and hold in until the lights turns green.

I have always used a wifi connection, so wired to the hub directly and Bingo- the Plusnet hub page appears. Now to juggle the channel settings but I know now how to connect best to the hub. I appreciate your help-problem solved!

If this does not work I would suspect that this message is referring to an IP address issue, due to the printer not releasing the IP address assigned by your previous router.

If this is the case then try a factory reset on the printer and set it up again.
