Do Plusnet throttle other routers?

Hi,

Just swapped to FTTP 900 and I am getting better results on the latest plusnet hub than a Netgear XR1000 V2 which makes me think Plusnet don;t like you using your own gear. So they throttle it?

Anyone throw any light on this please

I can assure you they don't! I have always used my own router and get the full speed on my FF900 connection.

Is it wired speeds that are affected or wireless ?

@Berty - what QoS/prioritisation features do you have enabled, if any? Tried with them switched off?

Thanks for the input.

Connection is wired.
Whilst testing was only one PC connected.
Slower download and higher ping on the XR rather than the plusnet hub,
Read so much and tried so many suggestions nothing worked
Reset XR and reconfigured it.

Given up on the XR1000 bought a R3 to try.
