What router do you have?

I've had similar symptoms in the (dim and distant) past.

The same occured with a Technicolour router.

My router does not appear to be allowing my work VPN. I am getting a message which says

"The network connection between your computer and the VPN server could not be established because the remote server is not responding. This could be because one of the network devices (e.g. firewalls, NAT, routers, etc) between your computer and the remote server is not configured to allow VPN connections. Please contact your administrator or your service provider to determine which device may be causing the problem."

I work for the NHS and they have told me it is an ISP issue. I have changed laptop and have the same problem. Occasionally the VPN connects but then stops my WIFI, then the WIFI connects which stops the VPN. It is a viscous circle. I have tried to contact PlusNet through Twitter with no luck. Any ideas?
