I've just rejigged/extended my powerline adapters after a VERY NEAR (50 metres or so) recent lightning strike blew up one of a pair and I added by "backup" pair to the network. The lightning did more damage in houses nearer and destroyed a couple of pine trees too!

I now actually have a three units (one at the router, two elsewhere) and a mix of manufacturers/specifications (TP-Link and "BT") but it all works well. One is on the same ring main as the primary/router unit, the other on a separate circuit in a house extension, only connected back at the meter.

Broadband is FTTC at about 60mbps and I get >55mbps from devices connected to either "slave" unit.
